The Greenery

As if so green it roots and
sprouts as if to stay like
rolling countryside intertwined
hand in hand as if a dream
no litter seen but earth's fertile
vase of soil over flowering.

Danny P. Barbare began writing in 1981 and writes about a poem a day. He lives with his wife in Greenville, South Carolina.
