and especially to my friends Clarissa and Moran, the founders of the web site. It's grown in leaps and bounds since that first, excited conversation which we had about it a year ago, and I'm so happy that the philosophy of the 'Leafpond moment' is out there for people to enjoy and learn from. Writing from London, my own career has gone onto far less interesting things since I stopped doing my monthly diary for the site - but I live in the faith that it was replaced by fresh writers and new ideas. Here's to another year of exploration, art, dialogue and culture!
